ASSISTANT MEN'S BASKETBALL COACH

Responsibilities
Assist the head men's basketball coach in all aspects of an NCAA Division I men's basketball program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps, and administration of the men's basketball program in full compliance with NCAA, the Big West Conference, and university rules and regulations. The position includes teaching in the basic physical education activity program.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a Master's Degree or the equivalent, successful coaching and teaching experience (preferably at the collegiate level), and the ability to identify and attract outstanding students to the university. Candidates must have a clear understanding of the student first philosophy in place at UC Davis and the role of a teacher/coach.
Appointment
Full-time 12 month assistant coach position in the intercollegiate athletics program and lecturer in physical education. A Collective Bargaining Unit covers the lecturer portion of this appointment.
Compensation
Salary is competitive within the Big West Conference and based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.

of the men's wrestling program in full compliance with NCAA, the
Pacific-10 Conference, and university rules and regulations. The
position includes teaching in the basic physical education activity
program.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree (a
Master's Degree is preferred or the equivalent), successful coaching
and teaching experience (preferably at the collegiate level), and the
ability to identify and attract outstanding students to the university.
Experience with academic assistance/tutoring and familiarity with
California high school wrestling programs preferred. Candidates must
have a clear understanding of the student first philosophy in place at
UC Davis and the role of a teacher/coach.
Appointment
